Our volunteer, Daniel, talks about his experience of volunteering

Daniel volunteered for the London Legal Walk this year and we asked him about his experiences of volunteering for LLST.

What do you enjoy about volunteering?

Helping people and giving something back – I know a bit cliché! – but also different & new experiences, learning more and meeting people.

Why did you choose to volunteer for LLST?

I saw it advertised on CharityJob. I emailed regarding my interest and was contacted by one of the LLST team, who gave me information about it – including follow-up emails leading up to the event. Also, having interest/experience of the legal system was a reason too.

How was your experience with volunteering with LLST?

It was enjoyable and good, and nice to see so many people involved – whether walking it, or stewarding. I look forward to next year’s.

Would you recommend volunteering to others?

Definitely. Plus, it can be good for you too, both physically and mentally – I can only speak from personal experience. But everyone should take up opportunities for volunteering if they can.
