We’re pleased to launch our 2022 Annual Report, detailing all of the great work we did and how we impacted the advice sector last year.
We spent the year fundraising, sharing knowledge, building up partnerships and supporting the advice sector, especially in light of the rising cost of living. In 2022, the cost of living hit a forty year high, resulting in more people than ever needing free legal advice to resolve their problems.
In response to a piece of joint research, the Addressing the Skills Gap research (2022), resulted in ourselves and a group of funders, including Trust for London, the City Bridge Trust, the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the National Lottery Community Foundation, contributing to a pooled funding programme to start working on some of the recommendations that arose from this report.
Our annual fundraising event, The London Legal Walk, saw 12,000 walkers raise £720,000, which was an amazing achievement. We also held other popular fundraising events, including The Great Legal Bake and The Great Legal Quiz.
Our Centres of Excellence programme and Cost of Living Advice Project have also made great strides this year, which we hope to build on in 2023 and going forward.
