We’re delighted to announce the date for the biggest fundraising event in the legal calendar, the London Legal Walk.  

The date for your diary is Tuesday 13 June 2023. You can start walking at any time between 3pm and 7pm.  

For anyone new to the Walk… What is the London Legal Walk?  

2023 sees the event return for the 19th year. It is a 10km sponsored walk through central London with walkers from across the legal community coming together to raise funds for frontline free specialist legal advice agencies. 

Teams have a choice of three routes and take in the Capital’s most beautiful landmarks, with the ever popular ‘Parks Route’ a perfect choice for those wanting to take in the city’s fantastic green space.  

In 2022, the charity welcomed over 12,000 walkers who raised over £720,000 – a huge achievement and a real show of post-COVID solidarity from the legal sector.

Why we walk  

“The Walk has always provided essential funds for legal advice agencies to help the most vulnerable people in London and the South East. This year, the number of people needing that help is increasing rapidly. We remain committed to continuing to raise desperately needed funds for legal advice agencies in London and the South East. As the cost-of-living crisis continues to dominate the headlines and impact our lives, these funds are needed more now than ever.  

Many people are facing serious issues and are in desperate need of free specialist legal advice. Debt, homelessness, unemployment and domestic violence are all contributing to the hardship faced by many in our community. They need the advice, casework and representation from legal advice agencies to help them to overcome these issues. 

The work we do to raise funds through events is critical for these agencies to maintain their life-changing work. Together with the legal community, we can continue to support legal advice agencies in helping the most vulnerable to access justice.
