Why did you get involved in LLST?

The cuts to legal support services are having a devastating impact on those in our communities that need help the most. I’m aware of this through my work in the voluntary sector, and so I wanted to take up a Trustee position with LLST to help make a difference in some small way.  

What is your favourite part of the role? 

I have worked with foundations in the past so I’m looking forward to getting involved in the grants committee to help make decisions on the applications submitted. I am also looking forward to using my experience to support the organisation’s operations and governance.

What do you hope to see in the future for LLST/ the agencies we support?

In the future it is my hope to see more funding from statutory sources for the agencies LLST works with. Combined with the continued support from LLST, this will support the sustainability of these vital organisations 

When you are not working or volunteering what can you be found doing?

Outside of working and volunteering I can be found running (slowly), playing with my two young children or reading
