Legal advice on the frontline – a day in the life

Here at London Legal Support Trust (LLST), we are proud to support a number of frontline free legal advice agencies in London and the South East of England. From humble beginnings in 2003 to the success of the annual London Legal Walk, LLST now supports over 100 agencies through a number of initiatives (Centres of Excellence (COEx), small grants, emergency grants, Grants Plus and money saving schemes).

I donate to LLST, where does my money go?

We understand the importance of being careful with spending, especially after the turbulence of 2020 and beyond. With so many charities desperate to meet the increasing needs and lack of financial support, we want to showcase the incredible work of these frontline free legal advice agencies that your funding supports.

In this series of blogs, we speak to a few of the agencies we support and discuss a ‘day in the life’ (although we have quickly realised there is no ‘typical’ day!), the problems they encounter and, most importantly, what they achieve working in such a vital sector.

Our aim is to raise awareness of the need for legal advice services, remind our donors why LLST fundraises and where this money goes.

Please see below some of the agencies we work with, and discuss a ‘day in the life’ of a frontline free legal advice service.
