Support access to justice and volunteer at the London Legal Walk!

We wouldn’t be able to stage this fantastic event without a team of volunteers helping us prepare the day, setting up the street party and registration desks, and supporting walkers along our 10km routes.

Most importantly, the event was in support of Legal Aid, which is imperative for those suffering from the cost of living crisis and in need of legal advice.”

“It’s such a fun event and the organisers, fellow volunteers and all the participants are lovely. We all had a good time and it has become like a big family.”

What is involved?

As a marshal you will help us prepare the day, set up the street party and registration desks, and/or later be positioned along the route where it will be your role to direct walkers and offer support and encouragement as they go past. Afterwards, you are invited to join in the fun at the street party on Carey Street.

We need volunteers who are available on Tuesday 17 June 2025 and able to commit to either one or both of the below times:

  • Morning volunteer – 9:30am – 3pm (50 needed)
  • Route marshal – 2:30pm – 9pm (250 needed)

The finer details will be provided to you in advance and at the briefing meeting on the day of the walk. At this meeting, you will collect your marshalling pack and learn which particular group you have been assigned to.

Volunteers will have a great time positioned on the route to cheer, guide and support the walkers. You can finish your evening by attending the brilliant street party at the finish line of the walk!
