Employment Cases

Ms D was dismissed from her employment when her employer found out she was pregnant.  She went to her local law centre who represented her at the Employment Tribunal.  Ms. D's  claim for pregnancy discrimination succeeded and she was awarded £17,877.31

Teresa worked for an employer for a number of years. She changed roles and was told that she would be paid at a certain rate, only to be told later that she had been overpaid. She tried to resolve the issue without success over a considerable period of time. Eventually she resigned and found that the whole disputed sum was deducted from her final pay.

She contacted a free legal advice clinic. The employer eventually settled for £5000, having initially offered £1000.
